Many clinical programs include multicultural training in their coursework. This is wonderful, but the way clinicians are taught to consider culture in therapy is not always consistent with the ways clients present. Clients are more complex, therefore clinicians have to be prepared.
This 35-minute Module is an opportunity to begin learning about the way emotion presents in various cultures. It provides depth to some of the multicultural topics discussed in clinical programs and explores how clinicians can adapt their therapeutic approach to meet their clients emotional needs in a culturally attuned manner.
